Directions:
From Cambridge, take the A10 towards Ely to Stretham Round-about, turn right,
follow road round sharp bends to first bridge, STOP, This is Gravel Farm,
Old West river. There is limited space for off-road parking here.
Please do not park near the Bungalows.
Fishing rights:
Far side of Road Bridge, left, "to be sign posted", climb over road barrier,
or round it, fish from the Road Bridge to Railway Bridge, about ūmile, yet
this is another long walk, not for the faint hearted, but can be rewarding
with large bags of Roach, Bream.
Species:
Good fishing for Roach, Bream, Tench, Chub, Perch, Pike, Zander, and the odd
Carp have been caught.
Predators:
For the hunters of large Pike, and Zander, 15lb plus Pike have been caught,
although none have been reported as a specimen at this venue yet, "could
you be the first!" Look on the home page for the societies specimen fish.
