To get to the Jolly Bankers by car, in the summer season only, when the ground is dry, it is possible to drive down parallel with the river on your right hand side as you approach the water, just follow the track, but be careful of deep ruts, just follow the track and keep parallel to the river, "Drive carefully and slowly". When you arrive at the wooded area, bear left, follow track then bear right to the river, follow the river once again until you arrive at the old iron bridge.

Before fishing the Old Bedford it is best to contact the local fishing Tackle shops in Cambridge, F.J.Farrington or S.Cooper and Sons.
